Mamma Mia! Grammar’s Here! How to Successfully Teach English Grammar

Learning a language is hard work and takes time and a lot of practice. There is also no escaping the fact that learners need to be taught a lot of grammar which lies at the heart of it all – the ‘skeleton’ if you will, for the body of language to be learned and have ‘movement’ in meaningful ways through four skills. However, we do not want English lessons to be reduced to an endless series of dull rules and lists, so we must apply effective, proven strategies and engaging activities to help the students remember grammar but also, above all, see its purposeful connection and usage in the real world. The session provides practical ideas and solutions to this challenge.
